Journey to ACEH
Tuesday, December 6th, 2005WEll, here i am sitting right behind my desk! caelah ‘my desk’…….hue he he… i’m working in Aceh now to assist Aceh Nias Media Center. This is my 8th day in aceh. So far i dont have any particular obstacle to deal with. The air is much better than in Jakarta (FYI i start to think moving from Jakarta because of its pollution, meaningless traffic jam etc). I’ve visited the location where catasthrope happened. It’s really hard to see and imagine the impact of tsunami. I will upload some photos and i hope i can share all the moments with you guys. It’s good that there are several NGO’s whose really working to make improvement and development for almost every aspect in Aceh (i do hope there’s no negative intention from them and i believe it). I’m working in Media Center as an operation staff. My job description is to make sure we can fulfill all jounalist’ needs e.g. information related to every events which held in aceh, NGO’s tour, press release etc.
I couldnt meet Bill Clinton while he was here, what a pity!!.. sebel deh… You know, i ate lots of delicious food lowh disini. I didnt expect before, but it’s great to found out that there are several places which serves great foods. Ayam banda, udang goreng yang ukurannya segede2 udang prawn, ketan yang dipanggang dalam daun aduuuhhhh uenak buanget deh.seneng….
Btw i’ve just graduated from my uni.Yipeee, thank God!

PS: i went to church last sunday, i thought there were not any church in Aceh, but i was wrong! :p
